Localisation of non-palpable breast tumours workshop

Course date Sept 24th - Sept 25th (2020)
Specialty Surgeons; theatre staff, pathologists; radiologists and radiographers; nuclear medicine physicists.
Spaces available

This two days workshop will provide multiple presentations and videos showing the technique, how to set the service and hands-on demonstration of the required equipment. The second day will provide live demonstration of surgery in theatre for surgeons.

Norwich 2 Laparoscopic Cadaveric CME/TME

Specialty Senior trainees in colorectal surgery ST7 or above

This course aimed at senior trainees in colorectal surgery ST7 or above. It is expected that trainees had exposure to colorectal laparoscopic resectional surgery and have plans to advance it further. The technique of Complete mesocolic excision/total mesorectal resection and safe splenic flexure mobilisation will be discussed and performed on cadavers.

FRCS Intercollegiate Exit Examination

Specialty Colorectal, hepatoibiliary, oesophagogastric, breast, endocrine and transplant surgery

This one week course is aimed at candidates who are preparing for Section 2 of the FRCS in general surgery. Emphasis is on the development of technique through practice vivas as well as practice exam scenarios. Several subspecialities will be catered for including colorectal, hepatoibiliary, oesophagogastric, breast, endocrine and transplant surgery.

Local Anaesthetic Inguinal Hernia Surgery

Specialty Individuals who can independently perform an inguinal hernia repair

This one day course is aimed at those who are able to independently perform an inguinal hernia repair and wish to broaden their experience to using local anaesthesia. We cover patient selection, principles of intravenous sedation and live operating.

Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration

We cover transcystic as well as transcholedochal bile duct exploration as well as insights into advanced endoscopic techniques such as spyglass ERCP. Aimed at senior trainees (ST7+) and consultants who wish to broaden their experience of biliary stone management.
